Documents, signatures and personal data

Check who requests a document, why they need it and how to send it.

How it works

A document, photo or signature file may expose more than a question requires. An open chat expands who can receive it.

What to check and do

  1. Do not publish documents, addresses or secrets in open messages.
  2. Confirm the recipient and the channel specified by the organisation before sending.
  3. Do not send a signature file or its password to an unknown contact.

Learning scenario

Learning example: a group chat asks for an ID photo “to check your name”.

Self-check

Your answer stays on this page until it is closed or reloaded. No real passwords, codes or documents are needed. The result is not a security certificate.

How should you respond?

Important limits

The Academy does not accept identification documents. Ask the provider about its service process.

Primary sources

Learning materials can reduce mistakes but do not guarantee protection from every threat. Not investment advice.
